Love God More & Revere Not Fear Him

To love God more is to not put idols before Him. Anything that you put before God is an idol. In other words, the thoughts and/or daily activities that take up the majority of your time leaving none or little for God, then those have become idols. Giving time to God in study or work should be a priority in your day/life. Love God more than the world/self/others and an abundance of love will be left for everything else in/from that Love of God.

Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

God does not intend for you to not love fully those in your family, nor does He intend for you to not have an abundance of time in your day for your daily tasks. He simply wants you to love Him more than anything else by not putting anything as an idol before Him.

I John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Ezekiel 14:3-5 "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, 'Thus saith the Lord God; 'Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from Me through their idols.''

Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

In places where "fear" is utilized in reference to God it is usually means "revere" not fear.  In this verse "fear" is the Hebrew word yare (#3372) which can mean fear or revere. To love God is to revere Him and His Word. Not to love or follow God and yes, there will be at some point fear. Make  no mistake, God wants our love and reverence. 

Sins Of The Father...

Exodus 20:5-6  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My commandments.

In these verses:  “hate me” means to love Him less; “unto the third and fourth generation” means to those that continue the sin….Just as with Gentiles before Christ or Kenites or anyone or any generation who sins, as soon as they repent and mean it and move forward not in sin, all is well….it’s for those and generations that continue in the sin for which He is referring. Deuteronomy 24:16

II Kings 14:6  But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”

No one pays for the sin of any one else! No child pays for the sins of their father. No generation pays for the sins of the previous generation. We pay only for our unrepented sins. If generation after generation continue in sin, they will pay for those sins....their very own unrepented sins. Following traditions that are sinful is not a wise course of action or any excuse for not doing better. Ezekiel 18:30-32

II Chronicles 25:4  But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the Lord commanded, saying, “The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every  man shall die for his own sin.”

Jeremiah 31:29-30  In those days they shall say no more, ‘The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.’  But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Ezekiel 18:20  The soul that sinneth, it shall die.  The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

The Gospel Armour

Ephesians 6:10-20 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Psalms 91:4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Don't Blame God For Your Strife

I Peter 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

God corrects by allowing turmoil to touch you if you are on the wrong path, but He doesn't cause you to have turmoil ... kiss the paddle and do better just as a child being corrected by a parent ... God wants you the best you can be! Deuteronomy 8:5 & Proverbs 3:11-13

Jeremiah 23:33-40 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord.  And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will even punish that man and his house. Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and, What hath the Lord spoken? And the burden of the Lord, shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God. Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and, What hath the Lord spoken? But since ye say, The burden of the Lord; therefore thus saith the Lord; Because ye say this word, The burden of the Lord, and I have sent unto you, saying Ye shall not say, The burden of the Lord; Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and  your fathers, and cast  you out of my presence: And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

James 1:12-18  Temptation is not of God. God cannot be tempted of evil, nor tempt you of evil. You most definitely should not say, "the burden of the Lord" anything. He will also not allow you to be tempted by Satan above what you can handle. I Corinthians 10:13

II Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Remind God of His Promises

Isaiah 43:25-26 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

Remind God of His promises which documents that you studied His Word to know of those very promises He so wants you to have! II Timothy 2:15

Daily Bread

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus resurrected & then ascended to Heaven until He returns in the 7th Trump, but God left with us the Holy Spirit to assist when we are willing to hear Him.  God will always lead, guide, and direct you provided you both ask, listen, and follow.

The Word of God is your daily bread akin to the daily manna given to the Israelites wandering in the wilderness that kept them satisfied as long as it was consumed daily.  The Bible is that very scroll to be digested daily.

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more ernest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Just like the manna from Heaven could not be stored and eaten another day, the knowledge gained from the Word of God withers if not consumed daily.

Ecclesiastes 2:12 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

The sacrifice of fools is futile because they are not interested in what's going to be said anyway.  They are putting on a show for reputation in the community and God considers that evil.  Make sure when you go to the House of God that you are going ready to hear God's Word and not man's word.  Traditions of man make void the Word of God.

Bethel v Bethaven

Bethel is a House of God.  Bethaven is a house of vanity, of nothingness.  Choose the House of Worship that Worships God and follows His Word and not that of the traditions of men.

II John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Luke 16:15 And He said unto them, "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. 

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Do Not Add & Do Not Take Away

Whether in ignorance or on purpose, it is not wise to add to or take away from God's Word.  All the tinkering with the translations does this.  Preaching vain lessons from man's mind and not God's Word does this too.  Check out everything for yourself and only study with those who check out!

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
