In Faith

The "faith chapter" in the Bible is Hebrews 11. That which is seen is not faith....

Stephen's Testimony

Stephen's testimony in Acts 7 is a great recap of Abraham, Moses, etc., from the Old Testament. There are other recaps found in Nehemiah 8-9 and Psalms 78.

Melchisdedec

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father."
  • Christ came first as Melchisedec & then as Christ in the 1st advent
  • Melchisedec: Melchi=King (King of the Just) & Sedec=Just
Hebrews 7:1-3 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all: first being by interpretation king of righteousness, and after that also king of Salem, which is, King of peace; Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

The Melchisedec from Hebrews is the same Melchizedek from Genesis 14:18-20

Just "Talk" To Him

God is your Father. He is your Creator and Savior, through Jesus Christ. We are His children for whom He has suffered through and died for in order for us to have the best opportunities for the eternity. He loves us. Talk to Him as you would the closest love in your life. He already knows your heart, so let him hear from you and not the vain words of another. God the Heart Knower

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Sharing God's Word

Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

We should speak to unbelievers and young students of God's Word with respect and with savor. Being salty is being full of life and excitement. Being droll and without salt is never appealing to anyone. We shouldn't pile on more than someone can handle. This is good advice for everything in life, not the least of which is teaching God's Word. II Corinthians 2:5-7  /  I Corinthians 2:13

It is important to know what level for which the person you are speaking with is on, and be able to teach or discuss on that level. Paul was skilled at being able to teach at all three levels at one time and without overwhelming anyone. Most churches only teach at the most basic "milk" level. Growing past just the milk of salvation is necessary to grow in God's Word and to do what He has for you to do.  I Corinthians 3  /  Romans 12:6

I Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekenss and fear:

Rather, humbleness and reverence.... I Peter 4:11

The Greatest Commandments

Jesus answering a scripture lawyer as to which is the great commandment of the law:

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

It would be impossible to break any of the other commandments, if those two are kept...making them the greatest commandments.

The Wrong Church

Discern and do not stay in a Church with whom God would not be pleased in their teachings and doings. The Churches of Revelation / Key of David  II John 1:10-11

Luke 16:15 And He said unto them, "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Beyond simply misrepresenting God's Word through false teachings and traditions of men, the churches with whom God is displeased are the same ones who outwardly hold a 'holier than thou' attitude but inwardly are not even close.

Matthew 23:3; 24-28 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Mark 7:9 And He said unto them, "Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."

The Churches of Revelation

Of the 7 Churches spoken of in Revelation 2-3 only was God pleased with 2 of them (Smyrna and Philadelphia) because they were the only churches who taught the Truth of God's Word and The Key of David.  Key of David
  1. Revelation 2:1-4 The Church of Ephesus took up with the traditions of man and didn't study God's Word.
  2. Revelation 2:8-10 The Church of Smyrna taught who the Kenites were in teaching The Key of David, and God was pleased with them. John 8:42-44
  3. Revelation 2:12-16 The Church of Pergamos taught for money and likened to Balaam who was a priest that liked money more than truth spoken of in Numbers 22-25. II Peter 2:15-16
  4. Revelation 2:18-27 The Church of Thyatira prophesied the "fly away doctrine" or following Jezebel...they worshiped the beauty of spurious messiah; Antichrist.
  5. Revelation 3:1-5 The Church of Sardis liked lots of little gods and were deader than a door nail to the Truth of God's Word.
  6. Revelation 3:7-12 The Church of Philadelphia kept God's Word and did not deny His Word.
  7. Revelation 3:14-21 The Church of Laodiceans don't make a stand; neither cold nor hot; never doing anything to cause controversy by teaching the whole Truth of God's Word.
Teaching the simple truth of God's Word is a rare find for sure, because churches don't want to cause controversy or ruffle feathers, and they certainly don't want to not receive funds for all the good feeling milk of the Word and traditions of man that they find easier to teach. They are no different than the money changers that Jesus contended with when He was here on earth in the 1st Advent. I have only found one church that teaches God's Word in all the years I've searched and that follows with the math of only 2 of 7 churches could God be pleased with in Revelation

Key of David

Knowing who the Kenites are is to have the "Key of David" and know the important distinctions in genealogy and the misleading of the churches in teaching not of God's Word but of Satan's twisting of the Word.

Scripture lawyers will do that when they do not have the Key of David.  Luke 11:45-52

Once Saved Not Always Saved

Once you accept Christ and are saved, are you forever and always saved? Depends on what you do after you accept Christ. It is false to believe that once saved, all that you do will be fine because you are saved. Sin happens regardless of the saving, as we are sinners continually. Sin does not negate this, but rebuking Christ would. Once baptized and then falling into sin, doesn't mean you need to be rebaptized, just repent of the sin. God isn't the one that fails in our sins, but us alone. Repentance of our sins is necessary, as is not repeating the sins over and again.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also Which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father Which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Gifts & Correction

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Those attributes that make you you; those abilities that come so easy to you that when you hone them make folks in awe of what you can do; those gifts and blessings from God are yours forever regardless of whether you thank Him or bless Him through your works.....but I wouldn't recommend taking credit for what is given to you, nor would it be wise for you to take for granted your effortless gifts......While He has promised them to you without repentance, He will still correct your walk. Show God you love him through your good works and study. Give Him the credit for what He has so graciously bestowed upon you. Ask Him for direction....He will never lead you astray!!!

Romans 12:16  Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Deuteronomy 8:5  Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.

Proverbs 3:11-13 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of His correction: For whom the Lord loveth He correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

Proverbs 24:3-4 Through wisdom is an house builded; And by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Revelation 3:19-20 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with Me.

Every Man Sets His Own Sentence

Isaiah 3:9-11 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to they brother, 'Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;' and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

James 4:11-12 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, Who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

God is the only Judge. Whatever we go about "judging" in others we are setting up that by which God will in fact judge us. Discernment is different than judgment. Discernment is the ability to decide between truth and error, right or wrong. To use discernment about a situation or a person is to observe and assess what is real from what is false, what is okay and what is not okay. Discernment is not "judgment" but judging the particulars to decide if it is real or false. Judgment of someone or something is the negative action tantamount to gossip or condemnation. Who are you to judge or criticize another? Usually in one's "judgment" of another, they are truly judging what is wrong within themselves.
