I Peter 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
God corrects by allowing turmoil to touch you if you are on the wrong path, but He doesn't cause you to have turmoil ... kiss the paddle and do better just as a child being corrected by a parent ... God wants you the best you can be! Deuteronomy 8:5 & Proverbs 3:11-13
Jeremiah 23:33-40 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord. And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will even punish that man and his house. Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and, What hath the Lord spoken? And the burden of the Lord, shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God. Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and, What hath the Lord spoken? James 1:12-18 Temptation is not of God. God cannot be tempted of evil, nor tempt you of evil. You most definitely should not say, "the burden of the Lord" anything. He will also not allow you to be tempted by Satan above what you can handle. I Corinthians 10:13
II Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
