Day 5 Exodus 1:1 - Exodus 15:18

Exodus 1:1-2:25 Moses' Early Life
  • Joseph died as had all his brethren, and all that generation at this time (start of Exodus). What started as 70 souls grew abundantly and remained in Egypt.
  • The new king over Egypt was a new dynasty (family) ruling over Egypt. This dynasty not knowing Joseph indicates they were removed both in knowledge and years from the famines and Joseph's given rights under the dynasty of Joseph's time.
  • This new Pharaoh (dynasty) feared the abundance of the Hebrews (Israelites). In an effort to minimize their perceived threat of the Israelites overthrowing them, they afflicted them in bondage as well as population control in killing male offspring. The first order was for the midwives of the Hebrew births to kill all male born babies. In the midwives' reverence to God, they did not carry this order out. The second edict from Pharaoh was then for the Egyptians to throw any Hebrew son born into the river.
  • Moses was born into the House of Levi in 1571 BC (per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating). This would be a 64 year gap between the death of Joseph in 1635 BC and Moses' birth in 1571 BC. Moses' older siblings were his sister Miriam and brother Aaron.
  • When Moses was three months old he was discovered by the Pharaoh's daughter, and by Moses' sister Miriam was given back to his mother to nurse until he was older. Pharaoh's daughter claimed and named Moses as her own. Moses means "drawn from water".
  • After Moses was grown, he saw the mistreatment of his Hebrew relatives and slayed the Egyptian afflicting them. Moses then had to flee Egypt for the Pharaoh now wanted him killed. Moses fled to the land of Midian which was south of the land of Edom.
  • Reuel was a Midianite priest (of Abrahamic descent through Keturah) and would become Moses' father-in-law. He is referenced elsewhere in the Bible by different names/titles.  Moses' Father-In-Law
  • It was during Moses' time in Midian that a new Pharaoh ruled over Egypt.
Exodus 3:1-4:31 Moses' Call & Return to Egypt
  • God first communicated with Moses through the burning bush and instructed him to go to Egypt to free Israel. Moses had two objections: 1st was his disbelief that the people of Israel would believe God had sent him. To this, God gave Moses three forms of proof (rod turn to serpent, his hand turning leprous, and water to blood). 2nd was his inadequacy in speech and refusal of faith in God speaking through him. To this, God gave Moses his brother Aaron as his mouthpiece.
  • God knew the then Pharaoh's heart, and knew that he would not just let Israel go because of Moses' usherings or proof of God. When it states that God would harden Pharaoh's heart, that is to say that He would allow or embolden Pharaoh's heart permitting him to act as his heart desired in this. Not changing Pharaoh's heart to His will.
  • Aaron met Moses upon God's direction and they both went to Egypt and to the people of Israel, and they believed God was with them and were thankful God knew of their affliction in Egypt.
Exodus 5:1-11:10 Pharaoh and the 10 Plagues
  • Pharaoh's response to Aaron/Moses requesting he let Israel go for three days to worship God was to task the Israelites with more work making their burdens increased. Pharaoh did not believe in God or give any credence to His authority.
  • The Israelites being extra burdened by Pharaoh grumbled against Aaron/Moses to which Moses accused God of not doing good by the people as He promised.
  • God renews His Everlasting Covenant (of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) with Moses. He told Moses it would have to be with a strong hand for Pharaoh to let Israel go.
  • The Israelites would not hearken unto these promises made by God through Moses this second time. Moses questioned God as to his credentials to even speak to Israel/Pharaoh. God charged both Aaron/Moses unto Israel/Pharaoh to bring Israel out of Egypt. He then gave Aaron/Moses credentials by way of their heritage of Levi, heads of the fathers' of Levi.
  • Levi's death was noted in Exodus 6:16 as being 1612 BC when he was 137 years old.
  • In Exodus 7:7 it gives us Moses/Aaron's ages, dating them going back to Pharaoh in 1491 BC, which is the same year as the Exodus; therefore, all the events with Pharaoh/Exodus occurred in a one year time frame. Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83 years old.
  • Moses/Aaron go to Pharaoh and did as the Lord commanded. Pharaoh's sorcerers performed the rod to serpent copy of what Aaron did, except Aaron's rod swallowed up their rod. As an imitation of real authority and miracles can never overcome the real deal.
  • Interjection: All of the events surrounding the Exodus are mirrored events to those of the end times. Deeper study on this in the future beyond what I have already given (links below). Also note, that Satan always mirrors God and twists Scripture/supernatural/God's plan. If you aren't paying attention (and know God's Truth/Plan), you will most likely be deceived.

  • The first plague was turning water to blood. Pharaoh's sorcerers duplicated this feat as well and Pharaoh's heart remained hard against God's authority. Seven days all the waters in Egypt remained blood.
  • The second plague was that of frogs. Pharaoh's sorcerers were again able to duplicate this, but in this second plague, Pharaoh asked that the Lord take away the frogs and he would allow Israel to go to worship God. Upon God removing the frogs from over the land of Egypt, and Pharaoh having rest from the plague, he once again hardened his heart against God.
  • The third plague was that of lice. This is the first miracle that Pharaoh's sorcerers could not duplicate. The magicians then believed that this was indeed the finger of God, but Pharaoh's heart remained hardened.
  • The fourth plague was swarms of flies, but only in the land of Egypt not including Goshen. This was the first time God separated His people (Israelites) from the Egyptians. God put a distinct division between His people and Pharaoh's people. Only the Egyptians were inflicted, and Pharaoh for the second time said Israel could go and sacrifice to God. But once God removed the flies, Pharaoh once again hardened his heart and would not let Israel go.
  • The fifth plague was of the death of Egyptian cattle by way of infectious disease (murrain). Once again the Israelites were spared and separated from the Egyptian people/plague. Pharaoh's heart remained hardened against God and the Israelites.
  • The sixth plague was that of boils, including the sorcerers. Pharaoh remained hardened against letting Israel go to sacrifice.
  • The seventh plague was devastating hail. With this plague the Egyptians that believed upon God and brought in their cattle were spared the death of the cattle. The Israelites were spared altogether as the previous times since the division in the fourth plague. Pharaoh admitted sin and wickedness, and again promised to let the Israelites go to worship God, and again retracted and refused to let them go.
  • When Moses/Aaron foretold of the eighth plague, the servants of Pharaoh came unto him asking he let Israel go lest Egypt be destroyed. He then called in Moses/Aaron questioning who would go, threatening "evil" (meaning death), and saying they could worship God.
  • The eighth plague was of locusts. Once again, Pharaoh admitted sin, said Israel could go, hardened his heart and retracted, not letting the people go.
  • The ninth plague was of darkness over all of Egypt except for Goshen (where the Israelites dwelled). It was a darkness that could be felt and lasted three days. Pharaoh said the people of Israel could go but had to leave their herds/flocks. When that was unacceptable, he refused to let the people go. He told Moses/Aaron not to see his face again.
  • God promised one final plague and prepared the Israelites for it. The 10th plague was to be the death of all firstborn in the land of Egypt including beasts of the land, sparing only the Israelites that followed God's instructions. Putting a difference between Egyptian and Israelite beyond doubt.

  • The above links go into the detail of the first Passover to be kept to the second Passover to still be kept until the 2nd Advent. The links include the details of the death angel to pass over the Israelites that obeyed God's instruction of the blood on door posts. The links are in the order for which to read for explanation and deeper study.
  • There are several purposes of the unleavened bread. I will put forth two for your consideration: 1) leaven represents the addition to God that if taken in will rise against the Truth of God (symbolic); 2) the time for bread to leaven would go against the haste needing to be made by the Israelites in following God's direction out of Egypt.
  • When the Israelites left Egypt the numbers were about 600,000 on foot that were men, beside children. Later in Scripture there will be an accounting of the Israelites.
  • Their Exodus was the end of the 430 years from Genesis 12:4 and the 400 years from Genesis 21:10, spoken of in Genesis 15:13. This occurred in 1491 BC.
  • God declares that all firstborns (both man and beast) belong to Him, and that He will redeem His children. Exodus 13:2 and Exodus 13:15.
  • God knowing the hearts of Israel, knew that they would cower at the sign of trouble; therefore, He led them through the wilderness as opposed to the quicker route through the land of the Philistines. So much of the journey from Egypt to Canaan (Promised Land) was such as dictated by the backsliding, soddishness of the Israelites.
  • Joseph's bones were taken with the Israelites out of Egypt.
  • God led the Israelites through a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. He only moved behind them at the Red Sea to separate them from the Egyptians. Pharaoh came after the Israelites to overtake them in the wilderness with 600 chosen chariots.
  • The Israelites once again coward and grumbled as was their practice anytime adversity seemed too hard or against them. This would be the case ongoing throughout the Exodus and on into the Promised Land.
  • Moses had two songs: The first is in Exodus 15 and was sung after the Red Sea and full escape from the Egyptians. It was a witness and demonstration of what the second Song of Moses would be in the 2nd Advent following the 7th Trump. This first song was a retelling of the history of the Israelites and their Exodus from Egypt. The second song in Deuteronomy is history and prophecy for Israel. Just as the first song was sung after the Exodus, the second Song of Moses will be sung after Christ's return in the 2nd Advent. Song of Moses

Day 4 Genesis 40:12 - Genesis 50:26

Genesis 40:12-47:26 Joseph and the Famine
  • While Joseph remained in prison in Egypt, Pharaoh had dreams that could not be interpreted (1715 BC per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating). This would put Joseph 2 years in prison beyond when he had interpreted the Butler/Baker's dream (and 12 years in Egypt after being sold by his brothers).
  • So, like the parables in the New Testament, God interpreted the dreams. All the land (not just Egypt, but also Canaan) would have 7 years of plentiful harvests, followed by 7 years of famine. God always gives us a heads up, if we are opened to His direction!
  • It was advised that a 5th part of the land should be stored up during the 7 years of abundance in order to survive the 7 years of famine.
  • Joseph was made ruler over Pharaoh's house, second in command/ruler only to Pharaoh over all of the land of Egypt.
  • The land of Goshen in Egypt was ruled by the Shepherd Kings, Hyksos, and other non-Egyptian peoples. The Egyptians did not herd sheep, etc., and had Hebrews of this area doing these things that they felt were abominable. It was from this stock of ancestors of Joseph that he was given in marriage. Both the name that Joseph was given by the Pharaoh (Zaphnath-paaneah meaning "abundance of life") as well as the name of Joseph's wife (Asenath) were Egyptian names, not reflections of them being of Egyptian descent. Asenath was the daughter of  the priest of On. Lots more on this when we do a deeper study into the early Adamic/Eber Hebrews/locations and interactions with the Abrahamic Hebrews.
  • The 7 years of "plenty" were from 1715-1708 BC, Joseph 30-37 years of age.
  • Joseph begat two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
  • The 7 years of famine were from 1707-1700 BC, Joseph was 38-45 years of age. The famine was all over the earth with all countries migrating to Egypt for food.
  • The 10 brothers made a trip to Egypt most likely in the 1st year of the famine, a second trip which included Benjamin in the 2nd year of the famine, returning for a 3rd and final time with the entirety of Israel and offspring. Benjamin would have been 22 years old during the second year of the famine (1706 BC).
  • Joseph hadn't seen his brother Benjamin since Benjamin was a year old.
  • In Genesis 45:8 the reference to Joseph being "father to Pharaoh" was an Egyptian title of high office of state.
  • The land of Goshen referenced in Genesis 45:10 was where the Hyksos resided in Egypt, and naturally where the Israel Hebrews would be placed.
  • God promised to be with Israel on the third trip down to Egypt with Israel as well as the promise to bring them up again. In 1706 BC, Israel was 130 years old (Joseph was 39 years old).
  • The 215 years of the sojourning in Egypt began in 1706 BC (and ended at their Exodus in 1491 BC). It was half of the 430 years that began in 1921 BC, Genesis 12:4.
  • Counting Joseph and his two sons, 70 souls came from Israel and were now in Egypt.
  • The Hyksos residing in Goshen were set aside/away from the Egyptians as they being shepherds were an abomination unto the Egyptians, Genesis 46:34.
  • The brethren of Joseph were given Pharaoh's cattle to herd in Goshen for him.
  • Once the money was used up, then cattle/herds/flocks were traded for food, then the land was given. From the years of the famine, Pharaoh owned everything in Egypt except for the priest's land. The people of Egypt were sworn servants of Pharaoh.
Genesis 47:27-50:26 Israel's Blessings
  • Joseph's sons were blessed first before the other 12. Israel claimed Ephraim and Manasseh as his own, and Israel put his name on them. Thereby giving them inheritance and blessings along with the 12 other sons, making a 13th tribe of Israel.
  • Israel put Ephraim before Manasseh in his blessing of the two sons (Manasseh was Joseph's firstborn, but Ephraim was blessed as the firstborn son.). Ephraim was blessed to become a multitude of nations (and would become England). Manasseh was blessed to become a great nation (and would become the United States of America). In this, Joseph was given a portion above his brethren. Once they entered the promised land after the Exodus/wandering, the land inheritance would be divided by tribe. Joseph's inheritance of land went through Manasseh and Ephraim (12th and 13th). Levi, as the priest tribe, would not own land.
  • Reuben's firstborn blessing was taken away as a result of him lying with his father's concubine.
  • Simeon and Levi's anger was cursed due to their involvement with the slaying of Shechem's house in revenge for their sister Dinah.
  • Judah was blessed as the king line until the 2nd Advent when the true King of Kings comes.
  • Israel died in 1689 BC, after all his sons were blessed. He was 147 years old at his death. Joseph was 56 years old, and had been in Egypt for 38 years.
  • Joseph died in 1635 BC when he was 110 years old, and having been in Egypt for 92 years.

Day 3 Genesis 28:20 - Genesis 40:11

Genesis 28:20-35:29 Jacob
  • Jacob was with Laban, Rebekah's brother in Haran, for a month before offering to serve Laban 7 years for Rachel, to marry (Laban's daughter). Per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible, Jacob's servitude to Laban began 1758 BC (based on numbers, I'm thinking perhaps 1759 BC) when Jacob was 78 (or 77).
  • Laban tricked Jacob and gave him his eldest daughter Leah to wed instead (1752 BC when Jacob was 84 years old). Understandably so, Jacob was displeased. Laban agreed to go ahead and also give Jacob Rachel (as was previously promised) after a week with Leah in exchange Jacob was to serve him another 7 years (ending in 1745 BC when he was 91 years old & Joseph was born).
  • Laban gave Leah Zilpah for an handmaid, and Rachel he gave Bilhah.
Order of Jacob's children (12 Tribes of Israel):

w/Leah
1.   Reuben born 1751 BC when Jacob was 85 years old
2.   Simeon born 1750 BC
3.   Levi born 1749 BC
4.   Judah born 1748 BC

9.   Issachar born 1746 BC
10. Zebulun born 1745 BC & a daughter Dinah (possibility that Zebulun & Dinah were twins)

w/Zilpah (Leah's handmaid)
7.   Gad born 1747 BC
8.   Asher born 1746 BC

w/Rachel
11. Joseph born 1745 BC
12 Benjamin born 1728 BC (after leaving Haran and while toward Ephrath after departing Bethel)

w/Bilhah (Rachel's handmaid)
5.   Dan born 1749 BC
6.   Naphtali born 1748 BC

  • Leah's plan with the mandrakes in Genesis 30:14-16 was when Reuben was 5 years old.
  • Jacob went on to work for Laban an additional 6 years beyond the 14 years of servitude for his wives in exchange for agreed upon wages. Jacob served Laban a total of 20 years.
  • Per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible, Jacob fled Laban in 1739 BC when Jacob was 97 years old.
  • Esau resided in the land of Seir where the Edomites resided. Isaac resided in Hebron (Mamre).
  • The angels of God met Jacob on his journey to meet his brother for both his protection and to assure him. The name of the place they met was Mahanaim which means "two camps".
  • Jacob prayed to God before meeting with his brother Esau asking for protection and mercy, and reminding God of His Covenant.
  • Jacob wrestled with God all night until being subdued in Peniel (Penuel). The word "prevailed" in Genesis 32:25 means "overcome". God touched the ligament of Jacob's hip joint ("sinew" means ligament/tendon). My thoughts are that what Jacob was contending with, and why God had to overtake him, was his spirit of ego. God needed him to humble for his journey forthcoming.
  • After this, God changed Jacob's name (Jacob meaning "contender") to Israel (meaning "God commands, orders, rules").
  • Jacob peaceably met with Esau on the road between Penuel and Mahanaim in 1738 BC (according to Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating).
  • Jacob journeyed to Succoth in 1737 BC, then on to Shalem, a city in Shechem in 1736 BC when Jacob was 100 years old (Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating). Jacob bought a parcel of a field in Shechem from Hamor (Shechem's father). Hamor begat Shechem; they were Hivites.
  • While in Shechem, Dinah was raped and desired as a wife by Hamor. Per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating, this happened in 1732 BC when Dinah was only 13 years old, 4 years after Jacob (and family) moved there (when the eldest son, Reuben was 19 years old).
  • This was another attempt at destroying the seedline. If the whole House of Jacob had intermixed with the Hivites as was proposed.
  • The two named brothers in the revenge regarding Dinah were Simeon (18 years old) and Levi (17 years old).
  • In 1731 BC, when Jacob was 105 (per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating), God instructed him to go to Bethel where God reiterated His Covenant with Jacob and that his name was to now be "Israel".
  • Benjamin was born in 1728 BC when Joseph (direct brother with same mother, Rachel) was 17 years old & Israel was 108 years old. Rachel died during childbirth (in my opinion, because of her deceit with her father's idols and having still held on to them....in her pagan practice would be a detrimental influence to Joseph and God's plan for him).
  • Also in 1728 BC, Reuben (age 23)  forfeited his birthright to Joseph (age 17) in lying with Israel's concubine (and mother of two of his half-brothers).
  • Israel (110 years old) reunited with his father Isaac (170 years old) in 1726 BC, 10 years before Isaac died in 1716 BC (per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible).
Genesis 36:1-43 Esau
  • Esau also called Edom, father of the Edomites and his descendants are listed along with the other inhabitants of mount Seir where they resided (Edom). Interesting study much later regarding the Idumeans (Edomites), Nabataeans (from Ishmael), who lived in Petra and later inhabited Samaria/Israel/Canaan after the captivities of the Israelites, and king Herod's heritage.
Genesis 37:1-36 Joseph
  • Joseph was 17 when he had his dreams (1728 BC). Both of his dreams, the sheaf and the sun/moon/stars, was a foretelling about his time in Egypt and the famine to come and his role in it.
  • Israel resided in Hebron at this time. Joseph's 10 older brothers had gone to Shechem to feed the flocks. Israel sent Joseph to check on them in Shechem, but they had traveled to Dothan where Joseph found them. Their conspiracy to kill Joseph out of jealousy was thwarted by Reuben and Judah. Reuben would have been 24 years old at this time and suggested instead of killing Joseph, that they should cast him into a pit. His plan was to return to the pit and rescue his brother. It was Judah's (21 years old) suggestion to sell Joseph as opposed to killing him.
  • The Ishmeelites and the Midianites were interchanged as to whom Joseph was sold to as they were both descendants of Abraham and were mixed together only distinguished by their nose rings.
  • Joseph was sold for 20 pieces of silver to the Ishmeelites/Midianites in 1727 BC when Joseph was 18 years old and Benjamin was only 1 years old (per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating). Isaac would still have been alive at this time and for another 11 years after Joseph was sold (Israel was 109 years old). So Joseph was sold prior to Israel reuniting with Isaac. Paying attention to all the parenthetical verses between events that have things out of chronological help to provide understanding of the history and God's plans.
  • The Ishmeelites/Midianites then sold Joseph to Potiphar in Egypt where God's plan for the whole 12 tribes of Israel could take root.
Genesis 38:1-30 Judah
  • Judah was one of the two tribes for which Christ would come (Judah=king line and Levi=priest line). Judah marrying a Canaanite would not produce offspring that would be part of this genealogy to Christ. Judah and Shuah (a Canaanite) begat Er, Onan, and Shelah. Er married Tamar. Upon Er's death and based on practice, his wife was given to Onan. Upon Onan's death Shelah was withheld from Tamar until he was of age. Judah did not abide by this as promised, and did not give Shelah to Tamar.
  • Judah was in the wrong in marrying a Canaanite (not keeping to God's instruction of keeping the seedline clean), not giving Shelah to Tamar (which was actually for the best because the seedline would not be intermixed/influenced through Shuah's heritage), for lying with someone he thought to be a harlot (Tamar was not a harlot or doing anything other than taking what was owed her by the practices at that time).
  • Judah and Tamar begat the seedline that would be the king line of the tribes of Israel. The twins born would create two branches. One branch would lead to Christ and the other branch would lead to the kings of the Isles/England. The twins were Pharez (to breach through to come out first, means "breach") and Zarah (scarlet thread, means "a rising of light"). Later to be discovered, this scarlet thread would play and important role in the Israelites and the Promised Land.
  • The House of Pharez-Judah would be the branch for which David to Christ would come.
  • The House of Zarah-Judah would be the branch that would travel to the British Isles and later mix with the Pharez-Judah line preserving God's Everlasting Covenant until the King of Kings returns in the 2nd Advent.
Genesis 39:1-40:11 Joseph in Egypt
  • Joseph was framed by Potiphar's wife and thrown in prison. It's unclear how long he was in prison before interpreting the Butler/Baker's dreams, but at the time he interpreted their dreams he had been in Egypt for 10 years. Per Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating, this occurred in 1717 BC when Joseph was 28 years old.

Day 2 Genesis 17:1 - Genesis 28:19

Genesis 17:1-27 Everlasting Covenant with Abraham
  • God renewed His covenant with Abram when he was 99 years old. This was not a conditional covenant but an everlasting one and is still in effect today (different than the National Covenant made after the Exodus which was conditional).
  • Abram's name changed to Abraham (the father of a multitude). Sarai's name was changed to Sarah (princess). The addition of "h", was the addition of Grace.
  • The distinction between the Everlasting Covenant with Abraham and the Blessing of Ishmael was made. The Israelite Nation and the Arab Nation established.
  • The covenant with and circumcision of Abraham's household was in 1897 BC, when he was 99 years old (and Ishmael was 13 years old).
Genesis 18:1-19:38 Sodom & Gomorrah
  • God and two of God's Angels appeared before Abraham in the plains of Mamre. Note, that angels are not winged creatures of any of the mythological portrayals. They are simply souls in their spiritual bodies. When we are not here in the flesh (where our souls reside in these flesh bodies), then we are in the other dimension with God in our spiritual bodies.
  • The nephilim did not come through the flesh age born of woman (which was their sin punishable by death...see Jude), but were able (just as Satan was in the Garden of Eden with Eve) to mix with man/woman in the flesh.
  • Flesh man was able to consume manna (angel's food) during the Exodus, and angel's were able to consume flesh food during such presented times as this.
  • Abraham's intercessions for Sodom reflect the thought process (to me) in God's decision about what to do with the 1/3 that followed Satan (and other 1/3 that were "fence sitters) in the 1st earth age, and why He didn't destroy everyone/everything at that time for the sake of the 1/3 that stood by Him (and the possibility of the 1/3 back-n-forthers). Instead He gave everyone a clean slate in this 2nd earth age.
  • The "men" referenced in Genesis 19:4 in the Hebrew means "men of depravity".
  • Lot's married daughters and son-in-laws (number unknown) were destroyed in the destruction of Sodom/Gomorrah as they chose to stay there.
  • If not for the angels' intervention 1) Lot would have been dealt worse by the men outside his door for Lot not turning over the angels to them. 2) Lot would have continued to doddle and either delayed their mission or been destroyed in their mission if they had not hastened him along.
  • Lot's wife died solely due to her lamenting the loss of her home in depravity (turned to salt when she looked back).
  • The brimstone/fire destruction of Sodom/Gomorrah and the smoke of a furnace result is an example of the smoke of "hell" at Judgment Day when those sentenced to die a spiritual death are blotted out.
  • The Moabites and Ammonites were the result of Lot fathering his two daughter's sons.
Genesis 20:1-18 Abimelech
  • It was Abraham's lack of faith in God's protection of him and His Everlasting Covenant resulting in him hiding that Sarah was his wife. While technically she was his sister (same father, different mothers), she was his wife first and foremost. God reproved this deception which is to say He reprimanded.
  • God closed up Abimelech's wife and household wombs so that they would not be able to bare children during Abraham's deception about Sarah as his wife. He did this in protection of the seedline to Christ and His Everlasting Covenant.
Genesis 21:1-21  Birth of Isaac
  • Isaac was born 1896 BC when Abraham was 100 years old and Ishmael was 14 years old.
  • The 400 years spoken of in Genesis 15:13 began with the recognition of Isaac as Abraham's seed (official seedline to Christ) in Genesis 21:10 (1891-1491 BC). Acts 7:6
  • The 430 years spoken of in Galatians 3:17 began with God making the Everlasting Covenant with Abraham in 1921 BC (to the Exodus in 1491 BC). Exodus 12:40
  • When Ishmael was 19 years old in 1891 BC, he (and Hagar) were cast out from Isaac's house (inheritance) and went to the wilderness of Paran which is in the Sinai Peninsula (southwest of Petra). Isaac was 5 years old.
Genesis 21:22-34 Covenant between Abraham & Abimelech
  • Phichol was a title not a name of an individual.
  • The word "grove" in Genesis 21:33 is the Hebrew word "eshel" meaning trees (actual timber) which is different than the word "asherah" used other places referring to something set upright/erect to be worshipped (as was the practice of pagans). This particular grove would be the wood used in Genesis 22:3 for the sacrifice of Isaac 22 years later.
Genesis 22:1-19 Isaac as a Sacrifice
  • The word "tempt" in Genesis 22:1 means prove/test. This would be a testing of Abraham's faith in God and His Covenant. It was a representation of God's great sacrifice of His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross. Isaac was Abraham's only son under the Covenant (seedline) for which Christ fulfilled the first of two parts until it is complete (1st Advent He came in the flesh and died on the Cross; 2nd Advent He will come to sit on the Throne as King of Kings).
  • The "the wood" in Genesis 22:3 was from that grove planted 22 years earlier in Genesis 21:33.
  • Abraham's faith was relayed in Genesis 22:8 in telling Isaac that God would provide himself a lamb for the sacrifice (and He did both then and later with Christ on the Cross, the Lamb slain). Again in Genesis 22:10 when he stretched forth his hand to slay Isaac, Abraham demonstrated he had the faith and trust in God to do His will knowing that it would be for the good (either God would halt him (which He did) or would provide other means to uphold His Covenant with Abraham).
  • The word in Genesis 22:12 is "reverest" in Hebrew, not "fearest".
  • After this sacrifice testing, God reiterated his Everlasting Covenant a second time with Abraham. He once again acknowledged Isaac as the son of the seedline (to Christ). The blessing of all thy seed and nations would be through Christ.
Genesis 22:20-24:67 Sarah & Rebekah
  • Abraham's brother Nahor begat Bethuel who was Rebekah's father.
  • Sarah died in 1859 BC when she was 127 years old (Isaac was 37 years old), in Hebron. She was buried in the cave of Machpelah which is known as the Cave of the Patriarchs. Also later buried there was Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Rebekah, Leah.
  • Nahor, Laban (Rebekah's brother), and Rebekah resided in Padan-aram, NW Mesopotamia between the NW ends of Euphrates & Tigris Rivers, in Haran.
  • With faith in God, and Abraham's servant's obedience, and Rebekah's willingness, Rebekah was brought to Isaac from Haran.
  • As stated in Genesis 25:20, Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah, in 1856 BC.
Genesis 25:1-11 Abraham
  • 13 years after Sarah died, Abraham married Keturah in 1846 BC when he was 150 years old.
  • Abraham and Keturah begat six sons which included Midian for which the Midianite priests come.
  • Abraham died when he was 175 years old in 1821 BC (Isaac was 75 years old).
Genesis 25:12-18 Ishmael
  • Ishmael's descendants are listed herein, naming the 12 princes which were promised him.
  • Ishmael died when he was 137 years old in 1773 BC (Isaac was 123 years old).
Genesis 25:19-27:40 Isaac
  • Isaac and Rebekah had twins in 1836 BC when Isaac was 60 years old (and Abraham was 160 years old). God said the twins in Rebekah's womb were two nations, Esau and Jacob.
  • Esau and Jacob were 15 years old when Abraham died in 1821 BC.
  • Esau would be called Edom, and his descendants would be known as the Edomites (or Idumeans) settling Edom around Petra SE of Canaan.
  • When Esau sold his birthright to Jacob out of hunger (and complete disregard for his birthright, or later honor him doing so in fighting for the blessing), it is possible it was during the time of the famine spoken of in Genesis 26:1.
  • The first famine was during Abraham's time. This second one in Genesis 26:1 was in 1812 BC per the Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating and would have been when Jacob/Esau were 24 years old (Isaac 84 years old).
  • The seedline was instructed not to marry of the inhabitants of Canaan (to keep seedline pure and free from nephilim/geber intermixing). Esau married two Hittites when he was 40 years old in 1796 BC.
  • Whether Rebekah or Isaac were aware of Esau having sold his birthright to Jacob or not, God foretold when they were in the womb that the elder would serve the younger. Rebekah instructed Jacob to deceive Isaac for the blessing that Isaac was intent on giving to Esau. Jacob received the blessing in 1759 BC when he was 77 years old (per the Bullinger KJV Companion Bible dating). Reference Hebrews 12:17 with regard to Esau and his blessing.
Genesis 27:41-28:19 Jacob
  • Esau planning revenge against Jacob, Rebekah sent Jacob away to find a wife among her brother Laban in Haran.
  • Daughters of Heth referenced in Genesis 27:46 were Philistines (of the land of Canaan) and referring to Esau's choice of wives.
  • Esau seeing the displeasure from Isaac/Rebekah in his Hittite wives, chooses a wife from the daughters of Ishmael.
  • The Everlasting Covenant is made with Jacob. the stones that Jacob took up were then carried with him and referenced again in Scripture. The very coronation stone is still used with the kings of Judah to this day in England.
  • The word "dreadful" in Genesis 28:17 is the Hebrew word "yare" meaning reverent.
  • Bethel means the House of God (beth=house & el=God).

90 Day Update

So, as is my nature, I took on a bit more than I could completely do last week! I think I have found a way to read my 90 days, and also type up "cliffs" notes of the days. To that end ... a do over ... 90 days starts today for me! Day 1 was posted last week...Day 2 will be tomorrow.... 90 Day KJV Bible Notes

As mentioned yesterday, I am reading through the Bible in 90 days based on this schedule 90 Day Bible Schedule. I will be posting highlighted notes as I go. These will not be complete or detailed, just promptings for your further contemplation and future in depth studies which I will get to dissecting out for you ongoing . Where applicable to topic, I will insert links to past in depth pass throughs of certain subjects in the meantime. This is a life long work, as the Bible is many layers and many depths to uncover, discover, study, and relay.

I am running a bit behind in typing out Day 1 notes, so bare with me as I get on track with working this project into my daily work. Note, that some Days, chapters, verses will not be as detailed as others or as lengthy. It will just depend on the content of such and whether beyond a future deeper study of the material I feel any pointers for thought are needed at this time.

To reiterate:  I am no one. I do not claim to be better or wiser than anyone. I completely profess to be a student of God's Word and am only looking to share knowledge that I have gleamed from deep study in God's Word over the past 25 years. I fully acknowledge that the understanding and knowledge that I have obtained is a blessing from God in providing me with teachers and tools over the years to lead me to a greater understanding of His Word. I completely adhere to the statement that: For Everything that I am and Everything that I am yet to be, I owe to God! Thanks always be to Him!!! Only through God's direction and guidance am I sharing this with you. Whether you dig into God's Word to prove me wrong or to prove me right, it makes no difference as long as you are digging into God's Word and arriving at a deeper understanding of Him and His path for you!

90 Days & Beyond

To say that I have been under intense personal construction and refinement these past months is an understatement. The choice to "not write" on any of my blogs for the majority of that time was necessary for me to get to where I needed to land on my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual feet. The depth of my understanding gained has been worth the obstacles. The full impact of which I am still trying to absorb fully. While I would like to jump right into where I left off, I am instead going to veer differently than previously planned for a time before getting there. Across all of my blogs (fitness, living, scripture), I am going to share my 90 days journey and ask that you follow me on your own. 90 days to a healthier life physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Start where you are and see where you land!

90 Days KJV Bible Plan I am beginning my 90 days today, not because I am ready, but because I know I will never have the ability or time without just doing it. But, you can begin yours tomorrow, next week, or when you can set your mind to begin, fully ready or not. I will be posting in depth thoughts of the Scriptures as I go, so you can follow along with me. It will be kind of like the Cliff Notes of study to lay the foundation for even deeper studies beyond the 90 days as we tackle the subject matters individually and more fully later. Know that my posts for the next 90 days will not be full studies, but pointers to studies already covered and those for which I will cover in the future. Beyond providing insight, hopefully it will also encourage you on your path in reading through the Bible. Stick with it and surprise yourself!!!

Day 1 Genesis 1:1- Genesis 16:16

Genesis 1:1 God created the first earth age.

Genesis 1:2 The first earth age destroyed. This was a recreation of the things of earth (land separated from water, recreation of the animal/plant life. Formation of this dimension. This earth age is thousands of years old, but this earth is billions of years old. Science always agrees with God and the Bible. It only gets all twisty when we don't understand what's being spoken. Taking the KJV back to the Hebrew/Greek tells us what was written. Following the subject/object within the texts takes out the human spin and out-of-context confusion, leaving just the truth of God's Word.

Genesis 1:3-2:4 God created the second earth age:
  • First Day: light/dark
    • God is light and Satan is dark
  • Second Day: Firmament/Heaven/Earth
    • The creation of dimensions? The 1st earth age was everyone in their spiritual bodies as will be the 3rd earth age, so there was no need for a division between the spiritual bodies and flesh bodies as is the case with the 2nd earth age. Such a dimensional divide would need to be created prior to the creation of flesh man.
    • Firmament = Atmosphere
  • Third Day: Land/Water Separated & Grass/Herbs/Fruit Trees Created
    • The katabole wasn't the annihilation of the earth, but the destruction of that age through natural means. The land was covered by water. I personally think the katabole created the instant destruction of the dinosaurs and caused the continental drift of the continents. Here, God separated the water by receding it from off the land.
  • Fourth Day: Sun/Moon/Stars/Day/Night/Days/Years
    • God does not operate in 24 hour periods, but we do. The creation of these natural interactions with this dimension/earth age's need for sun/moon/stars & the tracking/functioning within times/seasons was necessary for flesh man to survive naturally.
  • Fifth Day: Fowl/Sea Life Created
  • Sixth Day: Beasts of Earth  & All Races of Man Created
    • We are created in the image of our spiritual bodies. We were commanded to replenish the earth (to plenish/populate again). Christ came in the image of God (flesh body in the image of spiritual). We were all created in the 1st earth age and were with God at His creation of this 2nd earth age. "Our image", our essence in the spiritual is same in the flesh.
    • Biggest distinction between 6th day creation and 8th day creation (formation of Adam) is 6th day was beast of the earth and 8th day was beast of the field. 6th day man was all the races of the earth. 8th day man was the seedline for which Christ would come. Adam was formed, not created. He was designated in a special location apart from 6th day creation. He was the tiller of the ground, and the beasts of the field were for that purpose.
  • Seventh Day: God Rested
Genesis 2:5-25  Eight Day Creation
  • God formed Adam and took from him his DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid, the rib of his genetic code) to make Eve (the mother of all living from whom Christ would come....only through Christ can you live eternally...she was not the mother of all physical mankind). The Hebrew word for "rib" means to curve.
  • The location of the Garden of Eden is one to be discussed fully later, but for now something to ponder:
    • The rivers of old do not in large part still have their ancient names, but different ones. The Tigris and Euphrates might not be the Tigris/Euphrates of Adam's time. When we discuss later, we can get into when those lands were settled and why those names might be today. The rivers described in the Bible could very well fit the rivers of the Pamir Plateau which is west of the Tarim Basin in Asia. This is a subject to delve into as it pertains to the Garden of Eden, Noah's flood, and the migrations of Seth/offspring.
    • It could very well be since God dwelled within the Garden of Eden at times and that the Tree of Life was there (Christ), that it is possible the Garden of Eden was interdimensional.
    • The Hebrew words for "tree": "ets" in the Hebrew means actual timber wood tree / "atseh" in the Hebrew means spine/back bone=man. The Tree of Life was Christ & The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was Satan.
Genesis 3:1-4:10
  • Our "fruit" is of the actions we do and the words we say. They are either good or bad depending on the fruit produced. Our "fruit" is also our offspring. "naga" in the Hebrew means to lie with woman and is the Hebrew word used in Genesis 3:3 for "touch".
    • The instruction to not eat/partake of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Satan) was to not engage with him at all. In doing so, he would only either twist God's words and truth (as he proved); reveal the forbidden knowledge of the 1st earth age (which would negate the purpose of this 2nd earth age); attempt to disrupt God's plan for the seedline for which Christ would come (as he proved).
    • One of Satan's many names is serpent. While he could take on any form he wanted (while on earth physically before Christ banished him), the form of a snake was not what he was in while engaging Eve. He was conversing with her and wholly seducing her. The fruit he put forth was both in speech and act. An apple is nowhere to be found here.
    • "Beguiled" in the Hebrew is either "nasha" meaning seduced (as is used in Genesis 3:13 & referred to in the Greek "exapatao"...II Corinthians 11:2-3 wholly seduced) or "ramah" meaning deceived/betray (as used in Genesis 29:25).
    • When God cursed Satan's offspring (Cain) he said He would "put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." The enmity was between Satan (and offspring through Cain) and Eve's offspring (from Adam through Seth to Christ). Satan did indeed bruise Christ's heel on the Cross. Satan's head will indeed by bruised on Judgment Day.
    • Kenites are the sons of Cain (offspring of Satan/Eve) and is the Hebrew word "Qayin". Kenites are different than the inhabitants of Canaan, the Canaanites which is the Hebrew word "Kenaaniy".
    • Eve conceived fraternal twins (Cain from Satan & Abel from Adam). Fraternal twins are twins in two sacs and can be conceived up to six weeks apart from one another and from two different men. The word "again" in Genesis 4:2 is the Hebrew word "yacaph" meaning "to continue". Eve delivered Cain and then continued in labor delivering Abel.
    • The laws prior to the 10 Commandments delivered to Moses after the Exodus are not specifically stated or written, but there are several places in Genesis indicating an established law prior to the Exodus. Such is the case in Genesis 4:3-7. For Cain and Abel to be making an offering and for one to be acceptable and one not, then a set of rules would have to have been beforehand given.
    • Even though Cain was Satan's offspring, if he would have obeyed the laws then established, he would have been accepted just as anyone since him has the opportunity. Genesis 4:7
Genesis 4:11-24
  • Nod in the Hebrew means exile/wandering. It was the land of nomads. Cain dwelling in the land of Nod, east of Eden, could mean literal east or the Hebrew meaning of the word to hasten/forward.
  • Note that Cain's genealogy is separate and apart from Adam's because Cain was not Adam's offspring or a part of his direct genealogy. It's also interesting that Satan's offspring's names are similar or the same as those of Adam. Copying and twisting and confusion is what Satan does best.
Genesis 4:25-5:32
  • Short and Sweet breakdown of dates of birth/death and dates as ascertained from the verses (taking the starting point of Adam's birth date of 4004 BC):
    • Seth was born 3874 BC when Adam was 130 years old
    • Adam died 3074 BC at 930 years of age
    • Seth died 2962 BC at 912 years of age (had Enos at 105 yrs/age)
    • Enos 3769-2864 BC lived 905 years (had Cainan at 90 yrs/age)
    • Cainan 3679-2769 BC lived 910 years (had Mahalaleel at 70 yrs/age)
    • Mahalaleel 3609-2714 BC lived 895 years (had Jared at 65 yrs/age)
    • Jared 3544-2582 BC lived 962 years (had Enoch at 162 yrs/age)
    • Enoch 3382 BC and was translated 3017 BC when he was 365 years old; (had Methuselah at 65 yrs/age)
    • Methuselah 3317-2348 BC lived 969 years (had Lamech at 187 yr/age); oldest living & nearly a day with the Lord (1,000 years)
    • Lamech 3130-2353 BC lived 777 years (had Noah at 182 yr/age)
    • Noah 2948-1998 BC lived 950 years (had (in birth order) Japheth, Ham, Shem)
    • Japheth born 2448 BC, Ham born 2447 BC, Shem born 2446 BC
    • Thru Shem Christ would come.
Genesis 6:1-9:19
  • In Genesis 6:3 God capped the years of man at 120 max.
  • The Flood was 2348-2347 BC, a full year from boarding Ark to exiting Ark. Noah was 600 years old during the Flood.
  • The purpose of the Flood was to remove the offspring of the Fallen Angels (Nephilim). I tend to believe it was a regional Flood (we will later discuss location and specifics). Genesis 6 discusses the Fallen Angels and their offspring the Geber (giants). This was another attempt of Satan to deter God's Plan for this 2nd earth age. Through the Fallen Angels, knowledge of the 1st earth age and supernatural abilities were brought to this 2nd earth age. God removed this ongoing influence by destroying the 1st influx (later influx was the reason behind the Israelites' instruction to remove the inhabitants of Canaan, where the 2nd influx resided). The Geber were the giants/mighty men of Genesis 6:4. Them being the men of renown was of the 1st earth age.
  • Noah wasn't perfect in the sense that all he did was sin free. In Genesis 6:9, it is stipulated that he was "perfect in his generations", meaning that neither he nor his offspring mixed with the Fallen Angels. Noah was in the genealogy to Christ and that seedline remained unaffected.
  • In Genesis 6:19, it speaks to whom was on the Ark. Whether a regional or worldwide flood, it is immaterial in the sense that if it was worldwide, then two of every living thing boarded (which would include all races as the purpose was to only annihilate the Geber and nothing else). If it was regional, then it would be two of every kind of that region.
  •  Another reason I believe it to be a regional flood (among more than just what is sighted in this post) is because in Genesis 8 it discusses the dove bringing back an olive leaf as a sign that the waters had abated. Olive trees take 3-12+ years to grow and produce fruit. This would indicate that the trees outside of the flood region were not impacted. To the point of 'God can do anything', yes, but He is always natural and uses natural processes!
  • It is promised in Genesis 8:22 that the "earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." This is the case and will be the case until Christ returns in the 7th Trump. The earth was once to be thought flat, and just as ridiculous is the global warming nonsense....beyond the facts, there is God's promise that the harvest and seasons remain.
  • God established His covenant with Noah. Through Noah is the seedline for which Christ came.
Genesis 9:20-29
  • Canaan was was the product of incest (Ham & Noah's wife). To see the nakedness of your father or to uncover you father's nakedness is a Hebrew colloquialism that means to lie with your father's wife. Ham's sin was that he had sexual relations with his father's wife. It was through this sin, not that of seeing his father unclothed, for which he was cursed by Noah.
Genesis 10:1-32
  • There is a lot to dissect regarding where and who of the various peoples that came through Noah's offspring and their impact in later History. I'll refrain from tidbits here and save for a deeper dissection at a later time.
  • Well, just one tidbit for you to ponder, regarding Cain starting ancient Babylonia and possibly being the Alusharshid, Semitic king and Nimrod possibly being Sargon I of Akkad in Mesopotamian History. Shinar being the land of Babylon. A much deeper delve into all this in the future.
  • From Shem came Eber and later Christ. A later study regarding the names of this seedline through History and Empires/Lands is an important one to be able to follow the scattering and historical influence of these peoples.
Genesis 11:1-9
  • One speech, but different dialects. Reference Genesis 10:5. Either that or, like so many other places in the Bible, this reference is out of chronological order (e.g., places where genealogy is covered and includes times/events beyond the period yet mentioned)
  • Babel means confusion as God confused the languages so their work to circumvent Him was removed.
  • Point to ponder: The tower wasn't a tower, but a interdimensional structure, ability which would have been made possible from the foreknowledge of the Babylonians (Cain's offspring/foreknowledge was not destroyed in the Flood). Way more on this later.
Genesis 11:10-30
  • Shem 2446-1846 BC (had Arphaxad at 100 yrs/age)
  • Arphaxad 2346-1908 BC (had Salah at 35 yrs/age)
  • Salah 2311-1878 BC (had Eber at 30 yrs/age)
  • Eber 2281-1817 BC (had Peleg at 34 yrs/age)
  • Peleg 2247-2008 BC (had Reu at 30 yrs/age)
  • Reu 2217-1978 BC (had Serug at 32 yrs/age)
  • Serug 2185-1955 BC (had Nahor at 30 yrs/age)
  • Nahor 2155-2007 BC (had Terah at 29 yrs/age)
  • Terah 2126-1921 BC (had (in birth order) Haran (born 2056 BC), Nahor, Abram (born 1996 BC) beginning at 70 yrs/age)
  • Thru Abram (later renamed Abraham) Christ would come.
  • Terah and his offspring lived in Ur of Mesopotamia.
Genesis 11:31-14:17
  • Terah, Abram (& Sarai later renamed Sarah, Abram's wife), Lot and went to Canaan (dwelled in Haran) where Terah died.
  • Sarai was Abram's half sister (same father but different mothers).
  • Abram moved in 1921 BC at the age of 75 years old further south into Canaan upon direction from God.
  • There was a second influx of Nephilim/Geber in the land of Canaan at this time.
  • Abram went through Sichem, Bethel (which means house of God) on down to Egypt before returning back north to Bethel.
  • Lot went on to dwell in the plain of Jordan toward Sodom.
  • God renews His covenant (Noah to Abram) regarding the seedline for which Christ would come. Abram moved to dwell in Hebron in the land of Canaan.
  • Amraphel king of Shinar from Genesis 14:1 was possibly the Hammurabi of Babylon (to be discussed with other History ties and dissections).
  • The Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim in Genesis 14:5 are giants, geber. The pagan practice of Ashteroth dates back prior to even this time, but stems definitely from the satanic pull from God that was present with both the Kenite (Satan's offspring through Cain) & the Geber from the Fallen Angels (Nephilim).
Genesis 14:18-24
  • Melchizedek king of Salem was Jesus (Melchi means "king" and zedek means "just" and Salem means "peace"). Melchizedek was King of the Just, King of Peace. He was the priest of the Most High God. Long before Moses there were laws that were followed and the practice of tithing, Genesis 14:20.
Genesis 15:1-16:16
  • The prophecy of the Israelites' servitude (thru that in Egypt) and until they had possession of the promised land for 400 years until the fourth generation (Levi, Kohath, Amram, Moses). The designation of the promised land given. 430 years from the promise to Abram and 400 years from the seed of Isaac.
  • Ishmael born to Abram (thru Hagar), due to Sarai's lack of faith, in 1910 BC when Abram was 86 years old. Ishmael was the first of four in the Bible God would name directly (Isaac, John the Baptist, and Christ).
  • Thru Ishmael the Arab nation was born. He was promised to be exceedingly multiplied, given twelve princes, and a great nation, Genesis 17:20. Further, in Genesis 16:12, he was to be against every man and every man's hand against him; living in the presence of his brethren. Those 12 princes would become the 12 Arab nations of today.
